Microsoft wants both Blu-ray and HD DVD to lose. You see, before Microsoft and Intel backed HD DVD, Toshiba was just about the only major consumer hardware brand backing HD DVD. It has begun.

I’ve been looking for a solution like this for years now. Its a peer-to-peer VPN that easily handles NAT firewall transversal! It essentially works by using an outside handshaking node to establish an encrypted tunnel much like IPSEC or SSH. Sounds confusing right? Well, its not… it is virtually zero-config and best of all FREE!

I haven’t been able to find a problem with it yet, its cryptographically solid from the ground up (so far)… give it a shot, use it to get to your home network from work, or create your own virtual darknet. Or just email me to join mine.

Go get Hamachi!
